37 Pinkerton Hot Springs between Durango and Silverton

Cruising up US-550 between Durango and Silverton CO we encountered one of those classic stomp on the brakes / turn the car around situations.  Totally unexpected / unadvertised, and therefore all the more worthy of a closer look.
